Alzental is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication that contains albendazole as its active ingredient. Alzental works by disrupting the microtubule formation in parasites, inhibiting their ability to absorb glucose and other nutrients, ultimately leading to their death.

- Taeniasis (Tapeworm Infection)
- Capillariasis

Dosage and Administration
- Adults and Children Over 2 Years: 400 mg as a single dose for most infections.
- Children Up to 2 Years: 200 mg as a single dose.
- For specific conditions like neurocysticercosis or hydatid disease, the dosing regimen may vary:
- Neurocysticercosis: 15 mg/kg/day for 30 days.
- Hydatid Disease: Doses depend on body weight, typically 400 mg twice daily for patients over 60 kg.
